Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Friendly Furnace & Carpet Cleaning website (friendlyfurnace.ca) and the services we provide. By using our website, submitting an estimate request, or booking a service, you agree to these Terms.
1.Our Services
We provide residential and commercial cleaning and maintenance services in Edmonton and surrounding communities, including furnace and duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, carpet and upholstery cleaning, chimney and fireplace cleaning, A/C coils and central vacuum cleaning, hot water tank cleaning, and auto detailing. Available services may change over time.
Unless we expressly agree otherwise, our services are cleaning and maintenance services only. They are not a substitute for licensed HVAC repair, plumbing repair, code inspection, safety inspection, safety certification, or emergency service.
2.Website Information
The information on this website is provided for general service and booking information only. It should not be treated as professional HVAC, plumbing, fire-safety, building-code, or emergency advice. For urgent equipment, gas, electrical, water, fire, or safety concerns, contact the appropriate licensed professional or emergency service.
3.Estimates and Quotes
Estimates provided through our form, by phone, text, or email are preliminary and based on the information you give us. They are not a binding contract or final price. Final pricing is confirmed after we review the details and, where needed, assess the property or service conditions.
Final pricing may depend on property size, number of furnaces, approximate number of vents, number of rooms or stairs, dryer location, equipment condition, buildup level, access, parking, travel or location, add-ons, and any extra work requested or discovered on site.
4.Booking and Scheduling
Submitting an estimate request does not create a confirmed appointment or require us to provide service. A booking is confirmed only when we contact you and confirm the service details, price or estimate, date, and appointment window. Appointment windows are approximate, and we may need to reschedule due to weather, emergencies, vehicle or equipment issues, access problems, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed.
5.Your Responsibilities
To help us serve you safely and efficiently, please provide accurate information and make sure an adult with authority to approve the work is available when required. You are responsible for safe and reasonable access to the property, work areas, parking, entry points, utilities, power, water where applicable, and any equipment or areas being serviced.
Please secure pets, move fragile or valuable items, clear reasonable access around work areas, and tell us in advance about hazards, access restrictions, parking issues, pre-existing damage, delicate surfaces, unusual equipment, or other conditions that may affect the work.
6.Pricing and Payment
Prices are as quoted and confirmed before work begins. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due upon completion of the service, and applicable taxes are extra. Additional work beyond the agreed scope may incur additional charges, which we will discuss with you first where practical.
7.Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us reasonable notice so we can offer the time to other customers. We reserve the right to reschedule, pause, or decline service where access, parking, safety, weather, property conditions, equipment condition, or other circumstances make the work impractical or unsafe.
8.Service Limitations and Results
We perform our services with reasonable care and skill. Cleaning results vary depending on age, condition, material, staining, odours, buildup, maintenance history, equipment condition, and access. We do not guarantee removal of every stain, odour, blockage, contaminant, or buildup, and we do not guarantee that results will meet every expectation.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or conditions, hidden defects, normal wear, fragile or deteriorated materials, or issues caused by the age, design, installation, or condition of equipment, ducting, vents, dryer lines, carpets, upholstery, rugs, fireplaces, chimneys, hot water tanks, or other items being serviced.
9.External Links
Our website may link to third-party websites or services, including social media pages, maps, review platforms, or other external resources. We are not responsible for the content, policies, availability, or practices of third-party websites or services.
10.Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of use, loss of data, lost income, or inconvenience. Our total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that specific service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11.Website and Intellectual Property
The content on this website - including text, images, logos, graphics, branding, layout, and design - is owned by or licensed to us and protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, reuse, or modify it without our written permission, and you agree not to use the website for any unlawful purpose or to interfere with its operation or security.
12.Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By submitting a form or contacting us through the website, you agree that we may use your information to respond to your request and provide service-related communications.
13.Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
14.Changes & Contact
We may update these Terms from time to time; the date above shows the latest revision. Questions? Contact us at 780-716-4700 or friendlyfurnace@gmail.com.
